You can already see plenty of impressive mountains in Britain’s Lake District. You can see even more every autumn. That’s when the Berghaus-sponsored Kendal Film Festival arrives in The Lakes. It’s the UK’s most respected and anticipated celebration of mountain adventure and culture – and we’re right behind it.
Through films, lectures, seminars and exhibitions, Kendal brings to life the world of mountaineering – and brings together some of the most prominent figures in the field, including Leo Houlding, Alex and Thomas Huber and former Berghaus athletes Alan Hinkes and Rab Anderson.
Indeed, patron of the festival is Berghaus Chairman and legendary climber Sir Chris Bonington. Here’s what he had to say about our involvement:
